NYFW: The Energy of Runway 7 at Sony Hall

There’s a specific kind of adrenaline you only get sitting at the edge of a runway. After taking a minute to recharge and reset, I headed into Sony Hall for Runway 7, and honestly? The energy was exactly what I needed to kick off 2026.

This wasn't just about taking pictures; it was about seeing how these designers move. When you’re behind the lens at a show like this, you aren't just looking for a "clear shot"—you’re looking for the moment the fabric catches the light or the exact second a model’s expression aligns with the brand’s soul.

The Collections That Caught My Eye

I had the chance to shoot some incredible talent this season. Each of these designers brought something unique to the stage:

  • Miguel Llopis Leon: The silhouettes were architectural and bold—exactly the kind of drama I love to capture.

  • Chick NYC: Pure New York energy. Polished, edgy, and ready for the street.

  • 25th Hour Lingerie: Sophisticated and intimate. The craftsmanship here is stunning.

  • Vaida, Hirun, & Archie Brown: These sets were a masterclass in variety, ranging from fiery colors to high-concept structures.

📸 The Highlight: Project Lab Coat on the Stairs

One of the most powerful moments of the night was shooting for Project Lab Coat. Their "Unbroken" collection, centered around Multiple Sclerosis awareness, brought a deep sense of purpose to the runway.

The Artist's Perspective: For me, the magic happened away from the bright lights. I took the pieces into the Sony Hall staircase—the raw, architectural backdrop was the perfect contrast to the clinical yet high-fashion aesthetic of the lab coats. That’s the kind of storytelling I live for: finding that one frame that stops people in their tracks.

What’s Next: Philly and Beyond

The hustle doesn’t stop in NYC. I’m currently back in my home base of Philadelphia, gearing up for Philly Fashion Week this week!

While I love the energy of my city, I’m always ready to hit the road. Whether it’s a runway in Manhattan or a location shoot across the country, I’m looking to connect with designers who want more than just "standard" photos.

I’m currently booking for commercial catalogs, lookbooks, and high-concept editorial collaborations. If you’ve got a collection that needs a specific visual voice, let’s talk. I’m ready to help you tell that story.

Stay tuned—Philly Fashion Week shots are coming next.
