Model Portfolio Photo Shoot for Agencies
Just recently I decided to take a new approach to model portfolios for agencies. From now on I will provide a mood board for my clients to reference to for outfits to bring and ways to pose.
I like to recommend that models wear fitted clothes, tank tops, jeans, etc. It is important to keep the clothing simple, this way the attention is on the models facial expression and body movement.
Throughout this recent photo-shoot with model Keit (IG @ketevan13) I provided the mood board and displayed it on my flatscreen tv also during our session. This way she could look at it for ideas and gather more inspiration. This was really effective. It went so well I plan to continue to direct all model portfolios this way.
My new studio has amazing natural light, so I was able to do a mixture of natural to strobe lighting. I kept the backgrounds plain white to black – grey is also another option.
If you are interested to book a session with me, I would recommend Portfolio I or II. Here’s the link
